    Summary

The Eccles Community Art Center (ECAC) is a private nonprofit organization that has served northern Utah since 1968.  Housed in the historic buildings and grounds of the original David and Bertha Eccles estate in Ogden, ECAC provides art exhibitions, instruction in art and dance, and space for other nonprofit community organizations, including the Ogden Symphony Ballet Association, the Weber County Heritage Foundation and the Ogden Junior League.

Sanders Associates Architects was commissioned by the Eccles Community Art Center to create a master plan and building development program for the preservation/restoration of the historic Eccles mansion, the new Swanson sculpture garden, and a new 7,000 square foot building to accommodate the ballet and dance program, visual art instruction and the Ogden Symphony and Ballet Association’s administrative offices.
