Summary

Powerful U, a new start-up company started by James and Steph Purpura brings personal development to the masses. They believe perception, more than any other factor, will determine how someone’s life will turn out and through the knowledge they accumulated on their life journey they can help others live the life they desire.

Powerful U tasked Sanders Associates Architects to design a fresh and modern workplace that would both enable the team to work more collaboratively, as well as inspire employees and visitors.  The team worked to create a flexible plan with ancillary spaces scattered throughout the plan including a large break-room, open collaboration areas, conference rooms, and three filming studio spaces.

The use of glass in the office design brings daylight into the interior of the space and aids in promoting collaboration through visual connection.  Unique materials are used throughout, including polished concrete, multi-hued paints, exposed structure, and featured mural walls to inspire and motivate staff.  The environmental graphics support the company’s vision through use of imagery, text and form.
