Summary

The SAA team designed the new UFirst financial center to be a warm, bright, and collaborative office space that would attract and motivate top tier employees and engage them with the credit union. The high-energy workspace is balanced with amenities that include a fitness room, showers and lockers, game room, café/vending, lounge, mother’s room, and bike storage. The four floors of workspace include an interconnecting glass stair with a visual connection to the outdoor gathering space to increase casual interaction and collaboration areas on each floor. Balconies and the outdoor gathering space extend the social and work spaces to the outdoors.

The financial center also houses open plan workstations, private offices, small private break out spaces, and conference rooms - to provide staff with flexibility and choice, as well as dedicated space for collaborative or focused work. The cafe invites employees to gather, and training rooms feature flexible partitions to support everything from employee training sessions to large company and community events. Environmental graphic installations contribute to the UFirst brand and signage provides wayfinding throughout the building.

The palette of material – brick, concrete panels, glass, wood, and accents of vibrant color metal panels - combines with abundant natural lighting and ideal orientation to outdoor spaces. The ensemble creates a comfortable and creative work environment for staff dedicated to servicing UFirst members.
